Ban Lifted from TikTok App, But Still Not Available For Download

Though, the ban has been removed from the app Tik Tok, but this app is still not available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. This app was banned from Google Play Store and Apple's App Store for over a week. However, you can still download this app. For this, you have to resort to the third party website.

The Madras High Court has removed the ban from Tik Tok, but with a condition. The court has said that such content should not be uploaded on this platform which is linked to pornography and in such a situation the app will have to take action within 36 hours. If the app does not do this, then, the proceeding of contempt of court will be initiated.

There was also an argument made by the company on behalf of the company that Tik Tok has such technology available which ensures that no nude or obscene content is uploaded on this app. Not only this, the company has said that more than 60 lakh videos have been removed because those videos were violating the policy.

Tik Tok was popular with the name of Music.ly, later this app was named as 'TikTok'. It is worth noting that in the United States, this app was imposed with a charge of illegally collecting children's personal information. However this app had agreed to pay $ 5.7 million to settle this issue with the US Federal Trade Commission, which means FTC.

Tik Tok has 500 million active users worldwide. But there is also a fact that this app has the largest market in India and there are more than 120 million monthly active users of this app. This is the reason that after the app banned, TikTok was losing $ 5 million every day.

It is possible that the company is working on a new policy to avoid getting banned in the future. Perhaps this is the reason that it has not come to Google Play Store and Apple App Store so far. Although the company expressed happiness in a statement after the removal of the ban by the court, it will be available soon for download, but no timelines have been issued for this.

Tik Tok's parent company Byte Dance is preparing to invest Rs 69.3 billion in India. With this, people will be hired here. Not only this, the company is preparing to launch a new app for India.
