Bacardi rum cravings are steadily increasing in India. India has become the second-largest market for Bacardi in terms of volume sales, surpassing Mexico. Now Indian consumers are gradually moving towards expensive products. Whiskey is still dominated by the Indian Spirit segment.

Bacardi has sold around 1.7 million cases of its Eponymous brand, while in Mexico it has sold only 1.4 million cases. A year ago, Bacardi sold 14–14 lakh cases of this brand in both countries. According to International Wine and Spirits Research (IWSR), the US is the largest market for the Bermuda company where it sells 64 lakh cases of rum.

According to media source, the company has increased its sales in India by 19 percent in the last one year. Most of its brands are in the premium segment. India has now joined the world's top priority market for Bacardi.

The company is constantly investing in new brands and infrastructure expansion here. Bacardi has sold 61 lakh cases in India worth a total of Rs 3,125 crore. These include Bombay Sapphire Gin, Gray Goose and Devers Scotch. Bacardi is the third largest international spirit company in India after Diageo and Pernard Records. In terms of volume, the company's sales have almost doubled in the last three years.

It is worth noting that whiskey accounts for 70 percent of India's annual sales of 34.3 million cases. Bacardi no longer wants to be limited to rum, he has recently launched Reserva Ocho Rum, an eight-year-old rum.

Bacardi rum sales have increased by about 22 percent. In comparison, Diageo's sales have fallen by 3 percent. Famous Old Monk brand Mohan Meakin has increased 7 percent in sales and Khode has increased 5 percent.
