Ram Rahim is lodged in Sunaria Jail since 25 August 2017. On August 28, 2017, a special CBI court had sentenced 10-10 years in the rape case of two sadhvis. He was later sentenced to life imprisonment in the journalist Ramchandra Chhatrapati murder case. Since then he is lodged in this jail.
Ram Rahim, lodged in Sunaria jail in Rohtak, Haryana, was brought to PGI at around 7 am on Thursday. It is being told that after his health deteriorated, he was brought to PGI under tight security. However, after two hours, after giving examination and medicine, the doctors sent him back.
Sources said that Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim developed pain in his stomach. He described the pain as unbearable. He was brought to IGI Rohtak in a hurry. The doctors examined him here for almost two hours. He was given medicine. He got relief in stomach pain and nothing came out in the investigation, so the doctors sent him back.
Earlier, the chief of Dera Sacha Sauda was brought to Rohtak PGI on May 12. Then many patients were found corona positive in jail and they were also brought here due to fear of corona. However, after all the reports came normal, he was discharged from the hospital.

In January last year, a special CBI court had sentenced Gurmeet Ram Rahim to life imprisonment in the journalist Ramchandra Chhatrapati murder case. And In this 16-year-old case, along with Gurmeet Ram Rahim, three other convicts Kuldeep Singh, Nirmal Singh and Krishan Lal were also sentenced to life imprisonment.
Journalist Ramchandra Chhatrapati was shot dead in 2002. Actually, Chhatrapati used to publish news related to Dera in his newspaper. After the murder of journalist Chhatrapati, the family had registered a case and later it was handed over to the CBI.
The CBI had filed a chargesheet in 2007 and named Dera chief Gurmeet Singh Ram Rahim as an accused of conspiracy to murder. Earlier on August 28, 2017, a special CBI court had sentenced Gurmeet Ram Rahim to 20 years in prison for raping two women.
