The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has decided to file a review petition in the first week of December against the decision of the Supreme Court in the Ayodhya case. The board's secretary and senior counsel Zafaryab Jilani said the Sunni Waqf Board's filing of a review petition would not have any adverse legal effect on the board. He also said that all Muslim organizations have an opinion on filing a review petition.
The Sunni Waqf Board, on Tuesday, decided not to file a review petition. In the meeting, six out of seven members of the board agreed not to file the petition while only one member Abdul Razzaq Khan wanted a reconsideration petition to be filed.
