Rain forces India to practice Indoor in Sydney

Sydney: Indian skipper Virat Kohli, former skipper MS Dhoni and other members of the Indian cricket were in action during an indoor training session that took place in Sydney on Thursday. Rain at SCG did not allow the team to hold a net session outside but that did not curtail team India's preparations as the members of the team took part in an indoor practice session.

Rain at Sydney Cricket Ground did not allow team India to take part in a net session outside. Hence, an indoor net session was organized where Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and others took part.

In various videos of social media, Kohli and Dhoni can be seen practicing indoor along with other members of the team. Ravindra Jadeja can also be seen bowling in nets. Here are some of the clips from the indoor practice session.

This was the second practice session for limited-overs specialist players who had joined the team on January 8. The likes of Dhoni, Dinesh Karthik, and others were among the players to join the team. Rohit Sharma, who flew back home after the third Test, was also one of the players to join the team earlier this week.

The three-match ODI series between India and Australia starts on January 12 with the first ODI to be played at SCG. Adelaide Oval and Melbourne Cricket Ground will host next two ODIs on January 15 and 18 that will also mark an end to team India's long stay in Australia.

The Men in Blue have already played T20I series against the hosts last year in the month of November. The series ended in a tie with the teams winning a game each.

The second T20I was washed out after the completion of 19 overs in the first innings.

After T20Is, the two teams participated in a four-match Test series where visitors created history as Virat Kohli and co became the first-ever Indian team to register a series win in Australia.

Indian team won a Test series on Australian soil from years. In fact, India also became the first Asian team to win a Test series down under.
