Attack on Dilip Ghosh on the last day of Campaign in Bhowanipore

Today is the last day of the election campaign in Bhowanipore, the high-profile seat of West Bengal. CM Mamata Banerjee is the candidate from TMC in this seat. At the same time, BJP has fielded Priyanka Tibrewal. The ruling party Trinamool Congress and the main opposition party BJP are face to face. The star campaigners of both parties are working hard to woo the masses. In West Bengal, assembly by-elections are to be held on 30 September on three seats including Bhowanipore. Meanwhile, the news is coming that former BJP state president and star campaigner Dilip Ghosh has been attacked. The BJP has accused Trinamool Congress (TMAC) workers for the attack.

On the last day of campaigning, BJP and TMC workers clashed with each other. TMAC workers have also been accused of manhandling Dilip Ghosh. During this, the security personnel of Dilip Ghosh pointed a gun at the TMC workers. However, activists from both sides were pacified.

BJP's IT cell head Amit Malviya has accused TMC for the attack. Amit Malviya said that BJP is being prevented from campaigning in the Bhowanipore seat. At the same time, Kunal Ghosh said that Locket Chatterjee has turned down the request of the BJP. BJP leader Khamkha is accusing TMC. More than 80 leaders from BJP are in the fray of the campaign. At the same time, TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee appealed to the voters that Mamata Banerjee should win by at least 1 lakh votes.

Suvendu Adhikari lashed out at Mamata

BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Suvendu Adhikari is also campaigning in favor of BJP candidate Priyanka Tibrewal in the Bhowanipore seat today. During the campaign, Suvendu Adhikari said, "No matter how much violence Mamata Banerjee may get, but BJP's victory in the by-election is sure." BJP leader official said that Mamta Banerjee has reached the Nandigram seat after losing the election to cheat the people here. The people of Bengal understand the politics of TMC very well. Priyanka Tibrewal will win by-polls with huge votes.

Elections important for Mamata Banerjee

Along with Bhowanipore, by-elections are to be held in Jangipur and Shamsherganj on 30 September. Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee is in the fray from the Bhawanipur seat. This election is very special for Mamta Banerjee because Mamta Banerjee needs to be a member of the Legislative Assembly to remain in her post. For this, she has time till November 3, before which she will have to win from any assembly seat.

Mamta was defeated from Nandigram

Mamta Banerjee had contested from Nandigram this time, but she lost the election from BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari. TMC leader Sovandev Chattopadhyay had left this seat for Mamata Banerjee. Bhowanipore is considered to be the stronghold of Mamta Banerjee. She has been MLA from here twice.
