Mukhtar Ansari's son Abbas Ansari filed his nomination papers on Monday as a candidate of SBSP from Mau Sadar assembly constituency. After filling the form, Abbasas Ansari told reporters, 'The administration is creating hurdles in the nomination of my father (Mukhtar Ansari), due to which I had to fill the form.' Voting for the Mau assembly seat is to be held in the seventh phase on March 7.
