UP Election Phase 4 Live Update: 9.10% Voting till 9 am, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said in Lucknow – 'BJP will Repeat History'

According to the Election Commission, 9.10% voting was done till 9 am.

  • After voting, Mayawati attacked SP. She said that this time Muslims are not happy with former CM Akhilesh and SP. People have rejected SP, because voting for SP means ‘goonda raj’ and ‘mafia raj’, development riots do not happen in their government.

  • In Pilibhit, there has been a malfunction in the EVM in booth 311 under Puranpur. Voting has not started here. The technical team has been dispatched here.

  • Voters created a ruckus in Girdhari Singh Inter College of Lucknow West Vidhan Sabha due to lack of basic arrangements for voting. There is also no wheelchair for handicapped at the polling station.

  • Voting has been affected at 12 polling booths in Unnao due to malfunctioning of EVMs and VVPATs. EVM malfunction complaints were received at booths 435, 363, 226, 183, 238, 250, 318, 283, 341, 05, 44.

  • Villagers announced a boycott of voting in Mirzapur Ajgaon of Mohan Vidhan Sabha of Unnao district. In fact, the villagers have been demanding a bridge over the Sai river for years.

  • Bahujan Samaj Party's national general secretary Satish Chandra Mishra claimed that Mayawati will become the CM of UP for the 5th time after the voting started. In the three phases of voting, the public has made it clear that the BSP is going to form the government with an absolute majority. The BSP will form the government with an absolute majority like in 2007.

In 2017, BJP won 51 of the 59 seats on the ballot

In 2017, the BJP alliance won 51 seats out of 59 in the fourth phase. SP received four seats, while BSP and Congress each received two. However, the SP won 39 of these seats in 2012. The BSP won 13, the Congress four, the BJP three, and the Peace Party one seat.
