A photo of former CM Captain Amarinder Singh is creating a buzz amidst the election results in Punjab. In the photo, he is seen playing chess. Captain's party Punjab Lok Congress has contested the elections in alliance with the BJP. He is also a candidate from the urban seat of Patiala. This photo is being told about two or three years old. The special thing about this photo is that it has not been shown with whom he is playing chess. It is not known who would have won in this chessboard, but by the evening this picture will be clear whether he can win in the political chessboard or not.

Amarinder Singh was removed from the post of CM

Meanwhile, in September last year, Captain Amarinder Singh was removed from the post of CM by the Congress high command. It is believed that the high command felt that he was in collusion with the central leadership of the BJP and Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu played a key role in ousting him from power.

From that day onwards, the Captain had geared up to harm the Congress and formed the Punjab Lok Congress. He had even announced that he would not allow Sidhu to win the election. Captain Amarinder Singh had won this seat last time with the highest margin in the state at 52,407. But this time margin is awaited. He is expected to get a tough fight from AAP candidate former Mayor Ajit Pal Singh Kohli in this seat.

Amarinder Singh's Seats in past 2 decades

Captain Amarinder Singh, who has the image of the King in Punjab, has won from Patiala Urban seat in 2002, 2007, 2012, and 2017. In 2017, Captain won the Patiala seat by a margin of 52,407 votes defeating his nearest rival AAP candidate Balbir Singh. Whereas he won the 2012 assembly elections by a margin of 42,318 votes. At the age of 80, the captain is fighting for his political existence.
