Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari addressed a public meeting in Manipur on Monday. During his address, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari targeted Congress fiercely. Union Minister and senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari said that many governments came after 1947, but Congress never gave priority to the development of the Northeast. He said that for the first time under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has started developing this area.

Addressing the election meeting in Manipur, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari further said that some people are making false allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party that we are against the minorities. He said that BJP never discriminates based on caste, religion, creed, gender. People may have different caste, religion, creed, gender, but we are all Indians and we want to fight against poverty.
