Assembly Elections 2022 Live Updates: 63.44% in Punjab and 57.44% Voting in UP till 5 pm

Voting for the third phase of Uttar Pradesh assembly elections ended at 6 pm on Sunday. In the third phase, 2.16 crore voters have imprisoned the fate of 627 candidates in EVMs. Now, their fate will be decided on the result day of March 10.

In Punjab, 63.44% people have exercised their franchise till 5 pm. Voting will take place till 6 pm.

The third phase of polling is going on in UP on Sunday. So till 3 pm, 48.42% voting has been done in Hathras assembly, 51.42% in Sadabad and 50.62% in Sikandra.

Actor Sonu Sood was stopped by the administration from entering a polling booth in Moga. His sister Malvika Sood is contesting from here. On this Sonu Sood said, 'We had received information about threatening calls from opposition at many polling booths. These calls were especially from the people of Akali Dal. Money is being distributed at many booths. In such a situation, it is our responsibility to go there and check and ensure fair elections.

The Election Commission stops actor Sonu Sood from going to polling booths in Moga. From here his sister is contesting on Congress ticket. Today i.e. on February 20, polling is being held on 117 seats in Punjab (Punjab Elections 2022). With this, voting has started for the third phase in Uttar Pradesh today. In this, voting is going on in 59 seats in 16 districts. In the third phase of UP Elections, polling will be held in three regions, Western UP, Awadh and Bundelkhand.

Congress MP Pratap Singh Bajwa also cast his vote at booth number 145 in Gurdaspur on Sunday. Voting in Punjab is going on in 117 seats today.

Aam Aadmi Party leader Raghav Chadda has raised questions about EVMs. He said that EVMs are not working in Sanour and Shutrana. He has complained about this to the Election Commission.

Kanpur Mayor Pramila Pandey casts her vote. During this, he violated the secrecy of voting. On this, the Kanpur district administration said, 'As a result of Pramila Pandey breaching the secrecy of voting at the Hudson School polling station, an FIR is being lodged against her under relevant sections.'
