Terrorist is a resident of Budgam district of J&K

The terrorist arrested by the NIA in connection with the IED blast conspiracy in Lucknow has been identified as Tauheed Ahmed Shah, a resident of Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. It is being told that he was associated with Al-Qaeda. He is accused of recruiting youth and inciting them against India.

Used to recruit youth for terrorist attacks

According to NIA sources, Tawheed Ahmad Shah used to recruit youth for terror attacks in the name of Ghazwat-ul-Hind and instigate them against India. He had hatched the conspiracy of Lucknow IED Blast. He also used to buy arms, ammunition and explosives to carry out his plans. The NIA arrested him on Tuesday.

In this case, UP ATS had registered an FIR at Lucknow's Gomti Nagar police station on July 11, 2021, after which 5 other accused were arrested. A charge sheet was also filed against him on January 5, 2022. The agency is probing the matter in detail.

Voting for the first phase in UP from February 10

Elections for the 18th Assembly in Uttar Pradesh will be held in seven phases. Voting for the first phase will be held on February 10. After this, voting will be held for the second phase on 14 February, third on 20 February, fourth on 23 February, fifth on 27 February, sixth on 3 March and seventh phase on 7 March. The counting of votes will be held on March 10. In the first phase of Uttar Pradesh elections, polling will be held in 58 seats in 11 districts of western UP.
