No case of corona virus has been reported in Assam so far, but the state government has already converted a stadium into a quarantine center.
Assam government has converted the Sarusajay indoor stadium of Guwahati into a quarantine center. 1000 beds have been arranged in this quarantine center built in the stadium. The construction of the Quarantine Center is almost complete.
No positive cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the state so far, but the Assam Health Department has already set up a collective Quarantine Center to deal with any situation.
Udipta Choudhary, a health worker engaged in the construction of the collective Quarantine Center, said that 270 beds have been placed inside the Karmabir Nabin Chandra Bordoloi Indoor Hall of Sarusajaya indoor stadium, while the remaining beds will be placed outside the hall. Udipta Choudhary said, all facilities are available in the Quarantine Center. Its construction work is almost complete.
Earlier, Assam Health Minister Hemant Biswa Sarma had said that Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH), Assam Medical College Hospital (AMCH), Dibrugarh and Silchar Medical College Hospital (SMCH) are ready to treat corona virus infections.
However, the whole world is fighting a war against an unseen enemy. Policymakers and researchers are searching for solutions to estimate the spread and impact of corona virus day and night. So far, the Novel Corona virus has proved to be faster than anything, due to which it is difficult to control.
Two scholars of Indian origin from Cambridge University have prepared a new mathematical model. This model estimates that the current 21-day lockdown in India does not make it possible to control the virus.
