Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has expressed his support for the move to scrap Article 370 of the Indian Constitution related to special status for the State of Jammu and Kashmir.

In what is being hailed as a memorable move by the Narendra Modi-drove NDA government, Article 370 has been invalidated in Jammu and Kashmir.

The state will never again make the most of its exceptional status, and all arrangements of the Indian Constitution will be appropriate to Jammu and Kashmir now on. The administration has proposed Jammu and Kashmir to be a Union Territory with a Legislature, and Ladakh as a different Union Territory without one.

As various responses came in by means of various media stages, Indian cricketer Suresh Raina likewise participate by tweeting in help of the move.

"Landmark move – the scrapping of #Article370! Looking forward to smoother, and more inclusive times. #JaiHind????," wrote Raina on Twitter.

Previous Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti, who is as of now under house arrest, slammed the move.

"It will have catastrophic consequences for the subcontinent. GOIs intentions are clear. They want the territory of J&K by terrorising its people. India has failed Kashmir in keeping its promises,"  she said.

National Conference leader Omar Abdullah, who is likewise under who is also under house arrest, called it a shocking decision and said, "GOI's unilateral and shocking decisions today are a total betrayal of trust that the people of Jammu and Kashmir had reposed in India when the state acceded to it in 1947. The decisions will have far-reaching and dangerous consequences. This is an aggression against the people of the state as had been warned by an all-parties meeting in Srinagar yesterday,"  he said.

As he tended to the Parliamentarians, Home Minister Amit Shah informed the Rajya Sabha of the administration's proposition to revamp Jammu and Kashmir cutting out two separate Union Territories has been done in view of constant threats of cross-border terrorism.

With this, the crown state of India will be bifurcated into two Union Territories. While Kashmir and Jammu divisions will have a  legislature, Ladakh will be without any legislature.
