Two new Apple Watches with Fitness Plus and Apple One Services
Apple introduced two new Apple Watches along with Fitness Plus and Apple One Services. These include the Watch Series 6 and the Affordable Watch SE. The Watch Series 6 is the first in the lineup in which the company has been given blood-oxygen levels. The watch looks similar to Series 4 and Series 5 but the company claims that thanks to the new hardware, it gets its first performance, water-resistance and wireless connectivity. With this in mind, Apple introduced Watch SE as an affordable model.
Watch Series 6 – Display
The company has also given Always On-Retina Display in the Apple Watch Series 6, which offers a 60Hz refreshed rate, 1,000 nits peak brightness. The 40mm model comes with a resolution of 324×394 pixels, while the 44mm model offers a 368×448 pixel resolution. The company claims that it also has an Always-On Retina Display, 2.5 times faster than the previous model (when the user’s wrist is down). It also has Always-on Altimeter.
Blood-Oxygen Levels can be Measured
Blood-oxygen levels can be measured from the Watch Series 6. The Watch Series 6 can measure blood-oxygen levels in just 15 seconds. That is, the user will not have to buy an oximeter separately. Blood-oxygen level (Spo2) gives information about problems related to the breath of the body. The Apple Watch Series 6 will now get new health sensors for health and fitness tracking, which will allow users to measure blood-oxygen-levels (SpO2). The sensor identifies the color of blood under the skin with the help of infrared light and photo diodes, calculating blood-oxygen saturation. Alerts the user if the blood-oxygen-level drops below a reference between 95 and 100 percent.
Mental Health Tracking Features
It also has a heart sensor, which first came in on Series 4, it is designed to record heartbeats and rhythms. It also provides an ECG report to the user. The Watch Series 6 also features mental health tracking features to detect high levels of panic attacks and stress. It also provides regular breathing exercises to control your stress levels. In addition, the smartwatch also provides sleep tracking using a combination of accelerometer data and software tweaks available through WatchOS 7. The company claims that the Watch Series 6 will get up to 18 hours of battery life.
Watch SE: Display
Just like the Apple Watch Series 6, the Watch SE will also get features like an accelerometer, gyroscope and Always-on Altimeter. The Watch SE features the Apple S5 chipset, which the company claims is twice as fast as the Apple Watch Series 3. It comes with a W3 wireless chip. It gets the same size and resolution retina (1000 nits peak brightness) display as given in the Watch Series 6, which is 30 percent larger than the Series 3. However, it does not have an always-on retina display like Series 6.
Emergency Calling and other Safety Features
Users will get an optical heart rate monitor that offers high and low heart rate notifications in addition to irregular heart rhythm notifications. Fall detection, emergency SOS, international emergency calling and other safety features are also available in the new Apple Watch SE, although the watch will not feature blood oxygen or ECG. There is also no electrical heart sensor in this model. The company claims to offer 18 hours of battery life. It will be available in 40mm and 44mm sizes with gold, silver and space gray aluminum finishes.
Both models will be available in India in 40 mm and 44 mm sizes. When will their sales start in India, the company has not given any explanation about it. It is available for pre-booking in the US. They will start selling in the US on September 18.
Fitness Plus Service for Apple Watch Users
It has also launched a Fitness Plus service for Apple Watch users. This service allows the user to select workouts from a list of videos that can be played on an iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV. The special thing is that during the workout, the user will be able to see his fitness data on the screen of the iPhone / iPad. You will be able to see the activity ring on the screen. This is a great example of tight integration between the watch and the screen. There are different types of workouts set on the service, which does not depend on too much equipment. The company says that the user will get new workout videos every week and while doing the workouts, the user will be able to choose his favorite music. Fitness Plus Services is also associated with Apple Music.

The company says that this service will start operating by the end of this year. If you are in the area where this service is supported, then it can be used free of cost for three months on the purchase of a new Apple Watch. At present, this facility will not be available in India.
