Kevin Pieterson and I Disliked Each Other: Graeme Swann

Akash Singh

Former England cricket team off-spinner Graeme Swann has revealed that he and former captain Kevin Pietersen didn't like each other personally. He told that even though he did not like Pieterson, but when it comes to winning for the team, he forgot everything. One of England's best batsmen, Pietersen was the controversial face of the team. In 2008, he captained the team in 3 Tests and 10 ODIs, which was a difficult time of his career.

Swann played 60 Tests for England, took 255 wickets. He told that even after discrimination, he wanted Pietersen to be with him in the team as his game was very good. He said, 'We were a team that had become the number one team in the world.'

Let us tell you that Swann retired from international cricket after the 0–5 defeat in the Ashes against Australia in 2013. He said, "Both of us were exactly the same and we both lived on our own in the team. Both me and KP were much better than many others professionally, it was because we both were quite honest and openly disliked each other. But both of us wanted to keep each other in the team. I wanted KP to be in the team because he had scored too many runs and was playing very well."
