England has suffered a major setback before the third match of the Test series being played against India. The team is currently trailing behind India in the five-match Test series. Ahead of the third match to be played at Headingley, the team's fast bowler Mark Wood has been ruled out of the match due to injury, he sustained during the second match played at Lord's.

The third match of the five-match Test series being played between India and England will begin from August 25. Mark suffered injury while fielding during the second Test against India at Lord's. After the end of the match, Coach Chris Silverwood gave updates on his injury. He was doubtful about playing in the third match. The coach had clearly stated that he knew his injury was serious and that he would not be pressured to play the match until he felt fully fit.

List of England's injured players:

"He will be part of the team in Leeds and will continue his rehab work with the England medical team," said a statement issued by the ECB. After the end of this Test match, the 31-year-old bowler's injury will be reconsidered. On the other hand, fast bowler Saqib Mahmood, who has now been included in the team after Mark's injury, may get a chance to make the Test debut. By the way, Craig Overton is also included in the list of potential players. He can also be included in the playing XI in place of Mark Wood.
