Coronavirus: Indian Sports Ministry Decides to Close all Training Camps

Many sports around the world are being affected due to Coronavirus. In such a situation, the Sports Ministry of India has decided to close all the training camps in the country. At the same time, Pakistan Super League 2020 has also been canceled. The Pakistan Super League being played in Pakistan had only 3 matches left in 2020 season, which had two semi-finals and one final, but before that the Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to cancel the league. The last few matches of PSL 2020 were held at the empty stadium.

According to a statement issued by Sports Minister Kiran Rijiju's office on Tuesday afternoon states that all national camps will be closed due to the coronavirus. Dozens of athletes will not be able to prepare for the Tokyo Olympics. Earlier on 16 March, the Sports Ministry canceled all the academic sessions related to sports due to COVID 19.

According to the Ministry of Family and Health Welfare, 126 cases of COVID 19 have been reported in India till 17 March. Not only this, a total of 3 people in India have died due to Coronavirus so far.
