The Parliament session is expected to be rude today. Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) MP PK Kunhalikutty has given an adjournment motion notice opposing the introduction of Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB), 2019 in the Lok Sabha. In fact, the picture of political grouping on the Citizenship Amendment Bill, which is going to be introduced in the Lok Sabha today, has become clear. With the support of allies like Ghatak and BJD, the NDA government has prepared to pass the bill. Here, most of the opposition parties led by the Congress have also called for a protest against it, calling the current form of the Citizenship Amendment Bill as dangerous for the country.

The Shiv Sena has attacked the Central Government over the Citizenship Amendment Bill. The Shiv Sena says that through this bill, the Center is sharing invisible among Hindus and Muslims.

Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) MP PK Kunhalikutty has given an adjournment motion notice opposing the introduction of Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB), 2019 in the Lok Sabha. The citizenship amendment bill excludes the Muslim community of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh from the central government. This is opposed by the opposition.

The Citizenship Amendment Bill provides for granting citizenship of India to non-Islamic religious Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs, Parsis and Christians from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh who are victims of religious discrimination and persecution. It does not include the Muslim community. All opposition parties, including the Congress, say that the Indian Constitution does not allow such discrimination on the basis of religion.
