The US strike at Baghdad Airport in Iraq has caused a stir in the stock markets around the world. The Indian stock market collapsed on Friday and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex opened with a fall of 119 points. The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) is also down 21 points to open at 12,261.10.

Crude oil Strength
Due to the attack in Baghdad and the death of the Iranian general in it, the price of crude oil in the international market became 4 percent stronger. Due to this, pressure has been put on oil marketing companies. Japan's Nikkei 225 is also traded in the red mark.

On Friday, the rupee also started declining. The rupee fell 12 paise to open at 71.49 against the dollar. The Sensex saw consolidation in about 417 stocks and a fall in 435 stocks.

Major stocks rising included GAIL, ONGC, TCS, Infosys, HCL Tech etc., while the leading stocks falling included G Entertainment, BPCL, Vedanta, Asian Paints, Tata Motors and SBI. Apart from IT, there is a decline in all sectors.

Status of Sensex shares at 10.05 am
The Indian stock market had a strong start in the new year, the Sensex-Nifty recorded gains on two consecutive trading days – Wednesday and Thursday. On Thursday, the Sensex gained 0.78 per cent, or 320.62 points, to end at 41,626.64, while the Nifty gained nearly 100 points to 12,282.20. This record closing of the Nifty.

On the first day of the new year i.e. 2020, the Sensex climbed over 52 points to close at 41,306. At the same time, the Nifty rose to 12,222.20 but at the end of trading, the Nifty gained 14.05 points to 12,182.50 from the previous session.

Let us know that on the last trading day of 2019, December 31, there was a sale in the Indian stock market. At the end of trading on this day, the Sensex fell 304 points to close at 41,253.74. A year ago on 31 December 2018, the Sensex closed at 36,068 points.

In the year 2019, the Sensex has given returns of up to 15% to investors. It is considered good given the fluctuations of the year. In the year 2018, the SENSEX touched an all-time high of 41809.96 on 20 December 2019. On 19 February 2019, the SENSEX touched a low level of 35287.16.
