After Taliban entered Afghanistan's Capital Kabul, President Ashraf Ghani fled the country on Sunday after resigning from his post. In a Facebook post, Ghani revealed the reasons why he left country. He said that he had fleed the country to avoid bloodshed after the Taliban entered the capital, while hundreds of Afghans desperate to leave flooded Kabul airport. However, Ghani has not disclosed his current location information. According to the sources, Ghani, his wife, his chief of staff and national security adviser are in Tashkent, neighboring Uzbekistan.

Meanwhile, the spokesman for the Taliban's political office Mohammad Naeem said, "Today is a great day for the Afghan people and the mujahideen. They have witnessed the fruits of their efforts and their sacrifices for 20 years. Thanks to God, the war is over in the country. We have reached what we were seeking, which is the freedom of our country and the independence of our people. We will not allow anyone to use our lands to target anyone, and we do not want to harm others."
