US President Joe Biden's decision of complete withdrawal of military troops from Afghanistan has been facing criticism across the world as Taliban forces completely occupied the entire Aghanistan. Now, the superpower America is struggling to get its citizens out of there. Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken was defending the Biden administration's sudden withdrawal of troops.
After the World War II, the United States has suffered yet another massive defeat. Many experts have sought to soften the blow. Some are calling it just ' embarrassment' and others are saying that it is a blow to American 'reputation'. Some say that this is actually a failure of the US military. All of this is true, but the point goes even further that this is not just the end of the American era in Afghanistan. It would not suffice to say that the Americans were determined to leave, and Biden and his advisers could not predict exactly how long Afghan forces would be able to take on the Taliban.
The main reason behind the US' defeat includes – Whatever America provided to the Afghan army, it did not work for them instead the Taliban gained the throne with their strength. Not only this, the weapons that Biden has talked about providing to the Afghan army, is also now being used by the Taliban.
The Taliban has now become manifold powerful while sitting. The US military has left a stockpile of state-of-the-art weapons in Afghanistan. Now everything is in the hands of Taliban. From tanks to armored vehicles and cannons, from helicopters to rifles, all state-of-the-art weapons will now be used by the Taliban.
– 44 powerful tanks
– 1016 armored vehicles
– At least 775 guns
– 20 landmine rescue vehicles
That is, hundreds of armored vehicles and the famous HUMVEES have come into the hands of the Taliban. Among the guns that were captured by the Taliban include US 155mm M114A1 howitzer guns. The US had given 24 such guns to the Afghan army. The Taliban fighters have also got America's Maxxpro Mine Protected Vehicles.
