US Republican leader and Indian-American Nikki Haley has said that US President Donald Trump sees China as a threat. She said that she will work 'very hard' to get Trump re-elected as President in the elections to be held in November. Addressing the Virtual 'India Ideas Summit' organized by the US India Business Council, Haley said on Wednesday that security threats from China to the US would be one factor in the November presidential election.

Joe Biden never raised China's issue during his tenure: Nikki Haley

"I think you have Democratic candidate Joe Biden, who has said that China is not the problem and who was against the travel ban to China. He never raised this issue during his tenure in the Obama administration", Haley added.

Nikki Haley served as US Ambassador to UN and governor of South Carolina:

Haley served as the US Ambassador to the United Nations during the first two years of the Trump administration. She had also served as Governor of South Carolina. She responded to a question on her likely presidential run in 2024 during the conference, saying, 'You know, a year in politics is like a lifetime. It would not make sense for me to start thinking about 2024. Now our focus is on November. I can tell you right now, I am going to campaign and work hard for President Trump.'
