America: Foreign Tourists Visiting the National Parks of the Country have said to Charge Extra

The US senator has asked for additional fees from foreign tourists visiting the national parks of the country on the lines of the Taj Mahal in India.  They have demanded a fee of US $ 16-25 on foreign tourists.  The proposal to amend the 'Great American Outdoor Act' by Senator Mike Enzi is intended to raise the money needed to maintain many of the top monuments and national parks in America. Enzi said that under the amendment, foreign tourists coming to America should be charged 16 or 25 US dollars while entering the country.

According to the National Park Service, the current maintenance and arrears of the parks will cost approximately US $ 12 billion.  The senator said that in comparison last year, the National Park Service had a full budget of US $ 4.1 billion.  This amendment provides a permanent solution to meet this deficiency.

According to a study by the US Travel Association, about 40 percent of people coming to the US from overseas visit any one of the national parks.  He said that more than 14 million people come from abroad and visit national parks. He said that it is great that people all over the world recognize the value in these national treasures of America, but more people spend more on its maintenance and it is not wrong that we make these national treasures from people.
