American e-commerce company Amazon has launched a 2-hour delivery service in India. It will be called Amazon Fresh Store. As is clear from the name itself, the goods ordered will reach you within 2 hours of ordering under this service.
You can only ask for groceries from Amazon Fresh Store, that is, you will not be able to use it for any other products. According to the company, Amazon Fresh Store will be a service of Amazon Prime Now and will be delivered from 6 am to 12 pm.
Amazon has said that customers can order thousands of items – such as fruits and vegetables, dairy, meat, dry ice cream including ice cream – packaged food, furnace care and home care. Earlier, the company had a Prime Now app from where groceries could be ordered, but now it can be ordered from the direct Amazon app itself.
Although the Amazon Prime Now app will still work, but it will work in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
Siddhartha Nambiar, the category management director of Amazon India, said, 'With Amazon Fresh, customers will now be able to order daily things from Amazon.in fast. Now customers will be able to order fresh fruits and vegetables and can also buy groceries within just 2 hours. We are starting this service in Bangalore right now and soon it will be started in other cities'
Prime members will get a delivery slot in just 2 hours for just 49 rupees through Amazon Fresh store on Amazon.in. All customers will get a 2-hour delivery slot. The company has said that orders up to Rs 600 will not charge delivery, while orders below this will have to pay Rs 29 extra. You can access Amazon Fresh Store from desktop or mobile.
