Immediately after launching the Amazon Echo Show in India, Global e-commerce and web series Amazon has launched its latest product Amazon Echo Show 5 in India. This new Echo line-up has a 5.5-inch 960×480-pixel screen, a 1-megapixel camera and a single full-range 1.65-inch speaker.
Amazon's latest smart speaker is an affordable alternative to Amazon Echo Show, priced at Rs 22,999. The company has priced the Amazon Echo Show 5 at Rs 8,999 and its sale will commence from July 18. Customers will be able to purchase this smart speaker in two color options- White and Black. This new smart display-cum-speaker is much like the Amazon Echo Show, priced at Rs 22,999.
With this new smart speaker, users will be able to talk to Amazon's popular voice-based AI assistant Alexa. It has a 5.5-inch touchscreen, which will allow you to see the answers given by Alexa to the screen. This will be especially useful for watching videos on lists, recipes, and devices.
Like other Echo devices on screen, Amazon Echo Show 5 will also be used to control music streaming, video calling and TV shows and movies of Amazon Prime Video, compact smart devices, and so on. Many Alexa Skills can also be activated.
Echo Show 5 has a MediaTek MT8163 chipset and it can be connected to the internet via Wi-Fi. Here the speaker is Bluetooth enabled. In this case, it can be done like a regular wireless speaker. Especially in the Echo Show 5 privacy is taken care of. In this, the microphone can be switched through the front camera and buttons through a physical shutter. Users will soon be able to delete voice recordings too.
