Ajinkya Rahane Becames Father of a Baby Girl

India vice-captain captain Ajinkya Rahane became a father on Saturday after his wife Radhika Dhopavkar gave birth to a baby girl. Rahane woke up to the inspiring news in Visakhapatnam wherein he is playing the first Test against South Africa.

Ajinkya Rahane married his childhood friend Radhika in 2014. The two had met first in school and remained friends for a long while before their parents met and arranged their marriage.

Rahane's former India partner Harbhajan Singh took to social media to congratulate the new father. "Congratulations new daddy in town @ajinkyarahane88 hope Mum and lil princess ?? are doing well.. fun part of life starts now ajju. #fatherhood," Harbhajan composed.

Outstandingly, Rahane is the most recent Indian cricketer who has moved toward becoming a dad to a baby girl. Any semblance of MS Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh himself, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, and Hanuma Vihari are among the rare sorts of people who have a girl child.

Ajinkay Rahane is at present with Team India who has continued Day 4 action of the first Test of a 3-match series against India. Rahane came back to shape during the 2-match Test series against West Indies after the World Cup. While the Mumbai batsman didn't make the World Cup squad, his arrival to shape has come at the correct time as India is hoping to dominate the inaugural edition of World Test Championships.

Outstandingly, Radhika had taken to social media a week ago to post a photograph of herself with a baby bump with an emotional message.

Ajinkya Rahane didn't inconvenience the scorers much in the first innings of the continuous Test. After scoring 271 runs at a normal of 90.33 in West Indies, Rahane will be excited about getting some enormous scores in the progressing Test. He will be required to assume a key role in India's second innings as the hosts are hoping to seal a 100-run first-innings lead in Vizag.
