Seven days after a cancer patient encouraged Ajay Devgn to quit publicizing tobacco items, the Bollywood on-screen character on Tuesday said he tries to not advance whatever impacts the general public contrarily.

Nanakram, 40-year-old cancer patient from Rajasthan, had made an open intrigue to Ajay Devgn to stop his relationship with tobacco items in light of a legitimate concern for the general public.

The patient's family said that he was a devotee of the on-screen character and utilized a similar item which the on-screen character publicizes for, however, at this point understands that tobacco has adversary affected his life.

Ajay Devgn said he is in contact with the fan and even legally keeps up he won't advance tobacco.

"I have constantly kept up in my agreements that I am not advancing tobacco. Whatever the advertisements are, they are of ilaaichi (cardamom) and my agreement says it will be non-tobacco. So if a similar organization is selling something different, I don't have a clue what to do," he said

The on-screen character included at the most he can make an effort not to smoke on the screen if his character does not request it. "In my most recent film, De De Pyaar De, I'm playing a customary man who does not smoke.

Yet, in case I'm playing a Malik Bhai in a film like 'Organization', by what means will it be without smoking? Without taking any names, we were playing someone (genuine) who smoked. So it would have been off-base to not demonstrate it as it would not be consistent with the job," Devgn included.
