Air Pollution Hits Delhi-NCR Again

Air quality of DELHI-NCR was measured at high risk level of above 300 mark this sunday morning which is high alert before winters. The Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) to curb air pollution on tuesday morning by taking steps like Shutting down Diesal generators, Close brick kilns and stone crushers.

Air quality of Delhi however improved by 50 marks on monday but situation has continued to be in worst level in coming days according to reports. GRAP listed some measures according to the severity of situation. GRAP was preapared by Central Pollution control Board (CPCB) and was first implemented in 2017 to prevent Air quality.

According to the Air quality index(AQI) data, major pollutants PM 2.5 at 214 and PM 10 at 211 , both in 'poor' category in Lodhi road area.

Delhi Government is planning to implement odd and even rules to the vehicles from november ,4 this year through GRAP. Banning on diesal generators will implemented in many cities of NCR i.e Gurgram, Gaziabad, Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Sonipat, panipat and bahadurgarh. "Private CNG Vehicles will also follow odd and even rule this time", said Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
