AHMEDABAD: Out of the 617 cases of corona virus infection that have come to Gujarat so far, Ahmedabad has created the country's largest Covid-19 care center with a capacity to accommodate 2000 patients after 346 cases in Ahmedabad alone, however, only those patients who do not have any other disease or other complications will be kept in it. Officials said on Tuesday that with the help of this center built in a hostel near the Gujarat University campus, the burden on government hospitals will be reduced. The center has library, yoga and indoor sports facilities for the patients.
Ahmedabad city commissioner Vijay Nehra said, "Here we can accommodate 2,000 patients, this is the first and largest Covid-19 care center in the country." He said that every patient visiting this center has a bed and important items like toothbrush, soap and bucket etc. will be given. He told that the medical team would examine the patients twice a day and as a precaution this team would stop here so that the infection could not go out through them.
Nehra said, "Members of the medical team will also be examined for infection on 14-14 days." After visiting the center, he said that Gujarat has 617 cases of corona virus infection, of which 346 cases Belongs to Ahmedabad. City Deputy Commissioner Nitin Sangwan informed that the patients living in the center will be provided with cooked food outside. He told that an ambulance is also arranged, so that there is no problem if needed.
