India has agreed to sign the agreement on Kartarpur Sahib Corridor. The agreement between the two countries will be signed on 23 October. Despite India's opposition, Pakistan is adamant on taking a Fee of $ 20 from travelers. India said that it was unfortunate that despite India's opposition, Pakistan has not changed its decision to collect charges from pilgrims.

The government said that India has consistently conveyed the desire of pilgrims to Pakistan. India said that it will now sign an agreement with Pakistan on October 23 in this regard.

With the agreement ready to sign, India has once again asked Pakistan to reconsider the decision to collect the charge from the passengers. India is ready to change the agreement at any time.

Online registration for Gurudwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur was to start from Sunday, but Pakistan was adamant on charging $ 20 per passenger fee. Registration did not start after India objected to this. Pakistan wants to charge a fee of $ 20 or about Rs 1,400 from the traveller.

It was expected that an agreement would be reached between India and Pakistan on all issues regarding the Kartarpur corridor on Saturday, but this could not be done.

Issues that have not been agreed with Pakistan so far include the timing and fees of Darshan of Kartarpur Sahib. India has asked Pakistan once again to consider the fee of $ 20 per passenger. Apart from this, 10,000 passengers have been allowed to visit Darshan every day. Not only this, India has also sought permission to visit the Indian Protocol Officer every day.

Imran announced the opening of the corridor from 9 November-

Meanwhile, Pakistan PM Imran Khan has announced the opening of the Kartarpur corridor from 9 November. This corridor will connect the Darbar Sahib of Kartarpur with Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Gurdaspur district of Punjab, so that Indian pilgrims will be able to make visa-free movement. Devotees just have to obtain a permit to visit Kartarpur Sahib.
