He said that in view of the developments in Afghanistan, PM Narendra Modi has directed the Ministry of External Affairs to brief the leaders of all political parties. According to sources, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has called an all-party meeting on August 26 at 11 am regarding the Afghanistan crisis. Minister Prahlad Joshi will coordinate this meeting.

At the same time, protests by Afghan refugees continue in front of the office of the United Nations High Commissioner in Delhi. They demand refugee status for all Afghans, resettlement options for a third country, and protection from the Indian government.
