Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for observance of 'Janta curfew', the Ministry of Railways has decided to completely stop rail traffic in the country between 12 pm and 10 pm on Sunday. Due to Corona, the rail traffic in the country will be stopped from Saturday night to Sunday night.
Meanwhile, trains already running will be stopped in route to stations and passengers will be kept in the waiting room. The operation of local trains in metros like Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Delhi will also be very limited. This is the first time such a large number of rail operations have been shut down.
Bookings made for these trains will be deemed canceled and their entire money will be refunded to the passengers. According to the directive issued by the Ministry of Railways to all the general managers, during the period of March 21-22, no zone will run any train from it. This means that 2400 passenger trains and 1300 mail / express trains will run daily across the country.
During this period, the trains which have already been run and will be on the way, their passengers will be stopped in the middle and will be taken off at the station and a little distance will be placed at the waiting places, main hall etc.
