Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury Apologizes for Making Controversial Statement on PM Modi

In the Lok Sabha, Congress Party leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary has apologized for the controversial statement made on PM Modi about the President's address on Monday. Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said on his remarks in the Lok Sabha that this is a misunderstanding, I did not say 'Drain', I am sorry if the PM is angry with it. I had no intention of hurting them. If the PM is hurt, I will apologize to him individually. My Hindi is not good, 'drain' means me from the channel.

He also clarified on this statement and said that a BJP MP said that compared to PM Modi, due to the similarity between Swami Vivekananda in his names and equally he is equal to him. It hurts the feelings of Bengal. That is why I said, 'You are provoking me, if you say so, then I will say that you are comparing the Ganga to the gutters.'

Earlier, he said that the comparison of 'Where Ganga Maa' and 'dirty drain' is not correct. Indeed, in the Lok Sabha, the BJP had earlier accuse the Congress that the Congress had once made 'Mohali' like 'Indira Is India'. Replying to this, Chaudhary extended the limitation and used a dirty word like 'Dirty drain' for PM Modi. He described Indira Gandhi as a mother Ganga and PM Modi as a dirty groove. He also said that 'do not open our mouth and mouth'. However, his statement did not go into the record

He attacked the BJP government and PM Modi saying that PM Modi is a big salesman, Because of this, the BJP has managed to make the government back and the Congress has failed to sell its product.

Chaudhary also reminded NDA members that many projects were started by the Congress governments. He said that many major public sector undertakings (PSUs) were also set up during the Congress regime. Chaudhary alleges that the BJP government has changed the name of several schemes introduced by the Congress government to benefit the poor.
