Himachal Road Transport Department (HRTC) bus number HP-38C, 9918 going from Rohru to Rekong Peo met with an accident near Seri Nala near Samalkot at 8:00 am on Saturday. It is being said that due to rain, the driver lost control of the bus and the bus fell in the gorge but the actual reason is yet to be ascertained.
According to the information received, all the passengers are said to be safe. About 32 people have minor injuries, who have been taken to the Patta PSC hospital with the help of local people in ambulances. At present, the police are investigating the matter. People say that some of the passengers themselves were going out and reaching to the road.
When the bus reached near Thedpura, the driver lost control and the bus and somehow the bus fell into the ditch. On hearing the voice of the people, the people around the place of the accident gathered and informed the police administration about the accident.
This accident happened this morning when the bus of Reckong Peo Depot was going back from Rohru. However, after getting information about the incident, the police immediately reached the spot.
