In Delhi, another blow to the ruling Aam Aadmi Party. Delhi's Raúz Avenue Court has also imposed a fine of three months for the MLA and fined 10 thousand rupees for the purpose of hampering AAP MLA Manoj Kumar in government work. At the same time, MLA Manoj Kumar has been granted bail for challenging the order.

Aam Aadmi Party MLA Manoj Kumar was found guilty in the case of obstructing the process of assembly elections in 2013. The special court of Raoz Avenue had confessed to Kumar on June 25 for his arguments on the conviction.

The court found conviction of the prosecution as believable and Manoj Kumar was found guilty of obstructing the service of the public servant and for making illegal acts in the polling station or near it.

Manoj Kumar had filed a case against him for obstructing the process of assembly elections in 2013. It was alleged that Manoj Kumar, along with more than 50 colleagues who came with him, had closed the gate of that school in Kondly, which had a polling booth.

The court had on June 11 convicted Kumar for obstructing a public servant in discharge of public functions, punishable under 186 IPC, and disorderly conduct in or near polling stations, section 131 of Representation of the People Act.

The case was lodged on a complaint regarding hindrance in the election process being created by over 50 protesters, led by the then AAP candidate Kumar, at the main gate of an MCD school, during 2013 Delhi assembly elections, which caused problems to the voters.
