On Monday, Veteran Indian Commentator Aakash Chopra has selected the current best ODI team in the world. Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra has included 4 Indian players, two England players, two New Zealand players, one Bangladeshi, one Australian and one West Indies player in the playing eleven, while a Pakistan player has been named 12th player in this team. No players from South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan are selected in the team.

Aakash Chopra has chosen legendary opener Rohit Sharma and West Indies wicket-keeper batsman Shai Hope as the opening pair of his best ODI team. Shai Hope has also been appointed wicketkeeper to the team. He had earlier selected Australian captain Aaron Finch as the second opener but has said that he wants the wicketkeeper as well, so he has chosen Shai Hope, whose recent performance was also great in ODI cricket. He has picked Indian captain Virat Kohli at number 3, but Virat has not been elected captain of this team. At number 4, he has included Kiwi legend Ross Taylor.
