In Chhattisgarh, on Friday, 90 new cases of infected with the corona virus have been confirmed, including officers of the Border Security Force (BSF) and with this, the number of people infected with this deadly virus has increased to 863 in the state. Officials of the Health Department of Chhattisgarh told on Friday that today 90 people have been confirmed to be infected with the corona virus in the state. Officials said 40 people have been confirmed infected in Korba, 15 from Balodabazar, 14 from Bilaspur, 13 from Raigarh, 3 from Raipur, 2 from Rajnandgaon district and one each from Durg, Korea and Balrampur districts.
Officials said that most of the people who are confirmed to be coronavirus infected today are migrant laborers. They said that the assistant sub-inspector of the Border Security Force from Bhilai in Durg district is also among the corona virus infected and this officer came here this month from Uttar Pradesh. Officials further said that this officer of BSF is posted in 157th Battalion Kanker and the officer was stationed at the Bhilai Segregation Center prior to deployment where the infection was confirmed in him.
Officials said 25 patients were discharged from the hospital on Friday after becoming infection free, these include 10 from AIIMS Raipur (three each from Balodabazar and Bilaspur, two from Bemetra and one each from Balod and Kawardha) and 15 patients are from Raipur Covid Hospital (five from Balod and two from Bemetra, Balodabazar, Korba, Mungeli, Kanker). They further stated that so far 863 people have been confirmed to be infected with the corona virus in the state, of which 630 are under treatment, and two have died due to the disease, at the same time, 231 people have been discharged from the hospital after becoming infection free.
