82 New Cases of Corona Infected Reported in Kerala, Total Number of Infected Reached to 1494

In Kerala, 82 new cases of infected with the corona virus were reported on Wednesday, taking the total number of people infected in the state to 1,494. Giving this information, state Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said, "In the new cases, there are 53 migrants from other countries and 19 are those who have returned to their states from other states. There are 832 active cases in the state and a total of 1,58,861 people are in Quarantine and infected people are being treated in hospitals. It should be noted that there are 128 hotspots in the state. '

So far, 651 people have beaten the disease while 11 people have died. Giving information, Vijayan said that from May 7 till now, 24,333 migrants have been brought from other countries by 140 aircraft.

CM Vijayan said that the state government has not prohibited any aircraft carrying migrants from other countries, instead 690 aircraft have been allowed to bring migrants for June. Vijayan was responding to the allegation made indirectly by V. Muralitharan, Kerala's only representative in the Union Cabinet. Muralitharan had said on Tuesday that the Kerala government had written a letter to the central government requesting the postponement of return of the state's migrants from the Middle East for the time being.
