65 Including SP leader Sent to Jail in Ghaziabad

The SSP said that it is being punished at night. As many as 15 teams have been formed to arrest the accused in the entire district.

After protests by the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and NRC on Friday, 65 people have been sent to jail in Ghaziabad in connection with stone pelting and ruckus at six places after the prayers. The accused of the nuisance were seated in a bus and taken to MMG Hospital Medical. A heavy police force bus along with the accused were deployed around the bus and hospital. The accused were produced in the court from where they were sent to judicial custody. 396 accused including former  MLA Zakir Ali, Councilor Salauddin, SP leader Parvez Chaudhary, Councilor husband Arif Malik and Peace Party leader Shahid Saifi are still absconding. He is being punished for his arrest.

The SSP said that it is being punished at night. As many as 15 teams have been formed to arrest the accused in the entire district. Rasuka's action will be put into practice by presenting a charge sheet against the arrested accused. Those who damage government property will be dealt with vigorously.

In Nagar Kotwali, reports have been filed against seven nominated and 800 unidentified, including councilor husband Arif Malik, for rebelling, assault, murderous assault, obstructing government work and Section 7 of the Criminal Law Amendment. The Nagar Kotwali police could not make a single arrest despite the accused named. On Friday, the police had released the two accused from custody.

At the same time, reports have been filed in serious sections against 58 nominated and three hundred unidentified people including Samajwadi Party and Peace Party leaders in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act on Friday in Pasaonda and stone pelting on police force. SP and Peace Party leaders are accused of bringing a mob. Efforts are on to find other named accused and identify unknown.

Police Officer Sahibabad Dr. Rakesh Kumar Mishra said that a report has been lodged on behalf of Salahuddin, the Tulsi Niketan post in charge of Sahibabad police station. Reports have been filed against the accused in Sahibabad police station in 11 serious sections including attempt to murder. He said that it has come under investigation that SP leader Rizwan Saifi, resident of Garima Garden and Shahid Saifi of Iqbal Colony, Peace Party, reached Pasaunda with a crowd. People led by these people reached Pasaunda and performed. Stoned the police as well. A report has been filed against these two. An attempt is being made to arrest them.
