6,472 Cases of Coronavirus Reported in Pakistan in One Day, Figure Reached 1, 32,405

There have been 6,472 new cases of coronavirus infected reported in Pakistan and with this, the number of infected cases in the country has risen to 1, 32,405. The death toll has reached 2,551 with 88 deaths new deaths reported, the Ministry of Health gave this information on Saturday.

According to the Ministry of National Health Service, 29,850 people were screened in the last 24 hours. So far, 8,39,019 people in the country have been screened for coronavirus infection and according to the ministry, "50,056 people have become infected-free in Pakistan so far". According to the ministry, no patients are on ventilators in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Balochistan. In Pakistan, 420 ventilators are being used out of 1,400 ventilators allocated for Covid-19.

Of the 1,32,405 cases reported so far in the country, 50,087 in Punjab, 49,256 in Sindh, 16,415 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 7,866 in Balochistan, 7,163 in Islamabad, 1,044 in Gilgit Baltistan and 574 cases reported in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Meanwhile, the first indigenously manufactured test kit for the Coronavirus has been approved in Pakistan. Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chauhan said that this kit has been prepared by the researchers of the National University of Science and Technology.
