He wrote, "Consultation has been issued to all newspapers and media establishments to ensure that adequate care and precautions are taken." A special camp was organized at Azad Maidan and saliva samples of 171 media persons were collected during this period.

These included journalists, photographers and cameraman of electronic and print media. "Out of a total of 171 samples, 53 have been found infected with the corona virus," BMC spokesman Vijay Khabale said. Most of them have no signs of infection yet.

Late Monday night, BMC has decided to keep all 53 media personnel in a hotel in Goregaon for the next 14 days. He said that efforts are also being made to trace the people who came in contact with him.
