The cabinet and CCEA met today under the chairmanship of PM Modi. Three proposals were approved in this meeting. Firstly, the Agri Infra Fund of Rs 1 lakh crore was approved for the development of agricultural infrastructure. Everyone agreed to extend the second Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana till November.

Thirdly, 24 per cent of EPF assistance was approved for the benefit of businessmen and employees. In addition, the plan to distribute free LPG cylinders under the Ujjwala scheme was approved. Nirmala Sitharaman also tweeted that the poor welfare food scheme has been extended until November.

From time to time, something special is being given to the farmers by the Modi government. In Corona's time, it was only the agriculture sector, which was left, or else everything was affected by the lockdown. 

The Modi Government knows that it is necessary to take care of the Annadata and in the same sequence, the Modi Government has announced an Agri Infra Fund of Rs 1 lakh crore for the development of agricultural infrastructure, which has been approved by all.

Extension of Poor Welfare Food Scheme

At the meeting, everyone agreed that the poor welfare food scheme should be extended until November. Please note that during the Corona era, the Modi government was distributing rations to 80 crores poor for free, which are being distributed under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana. It was announced in March. Till now it was kept till June, but now it has been extended till November.

Gifts to businessmen and employees

The Modi government approved 24 per cent EPF support at the cabinet meeting. In companies where there are up to 100 employees and 90% of them earn less than Rs 15,000, then the contribution of EPF from such companies is being given by the government from March to August 2020. Nirmala Sitharaman announced the deal in May. This will provide relief to 3.67 lakh employers and 72.22 lakh employees.

It was also decided at the cabinet meeting that the free LPG cylinders being given to the beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme should continue even further. Oil companies can extend the terms of the EMI reference scheme for next year, which ends in July 2020 this year. That is, for the next year, customers of the Ujjwala scheme who buy LPG Cylinder will not need to give any EMI amount to the oil companies.
