39 New Coronavirus Infected People Found in Punjab, Total Number of Patients Crossed 2400 Figure

Total cases in the Punjab state has increased to 2415 on Thursday as 39 new cases of patients infected with the corona virus were reported and with the new cases, more than 200 people have been confirmed infected in the state in the last 6 days. According to the state government health bulletin, 15 cases were reported from Amritsar, this was followed by 6 from Ludhiana, 4-4 from Jalandhar and Pathankot, 3 from Bathinda and one each from Fazilka, Muktsar, Rupnagar, SBS Nagar, Sangrur, Hoshiarpur and Gurdaspur.

According to the bulletin, 2 people returned from abroad are also involved in the new cases reported. It should be noted that 14 patients were discharged from various hospitals in Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mohali, Sangrur and Bathinda after recovering. According to the bulletin, so far 2043 patients have been cured and currently 325 patients are undergoing treatment, at the same time, the condition of 2 patients is critical and they are on ventilators. Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu said in a release that more than one lakh samples have been tested for Covid-19 infection in the state so far, and about 4500 samples are being tested daily.

At the same time, an 80 year old woman was found infected with Covid-19 in Chandigarh on Thursday, taking the total cases to 302. Officials said that the woman hails from Bapudham Colony, which is the most affected area of ​​the city, whereas 6 members of her family will also be tested.  It should be noted that after getting recovered 8 patients were discharged from the hospital, increasing the number of patients who have recovered so far to 222. The number of such patients in Chandigarh is currently 75 who are undergoing treatment and the virus has killed 5 patients here so far.
