322 New Cases of Infected with Coronavirus Reported in Karnataka with 8 Deaths

According to the Bulletin issued by the Department of Health, a total of 9,721 people have been confirmed infected with the coronavirus in the state till Tuesday evening

On Tuesday, 322 new cases of infected with the coronavirus were reported in Karnataka, while 8 patients died. With this, the total number of coronavirus infected in the state has risen to 9,721 and the number of dead to 150. During this period 274 patients have been discharged from the hospital after recovering. According to the Bulletin issued by the Department of Health, a total of 9,721 people have been confirmed infected with the coronavirus in the state till Tuesday evening, in which 150 people have died while 6,004 people have been discharged from the hospital after being infection-free.

120 PATIENTS ADMITTED IN ICU 

According to the bulletin, out of 3,563 patients undergoing treatment, 3,443 patients are admitted in isolation ward of various Covid-19 hospitals while 120 patients are admitted in ICU. The Health Department said that out of the 8 people who died on Tuesday, 6 died in Bengaluru city and one each in Dakshina Kannada and Bellary district. All the deceased suffered from flu or severe respiratory disease. Among the 6 people who died in Bengaluru, 4 are men, aged between 40 and 80 years and at the same time, the ages of both the deceased women are 47 years and 85 years respectively.

5 INFECTED HAVE RETURNED FROM ABROAD 

The death by Covid-19 in Dakshina Kannada is recorded of 70 years old while an 85-year-old woman died in Bellary. The Health Department said that out of 322 cases reported on Tuesday, 64 are those who have come here from other states while 5 infected have returned from abroad. The rest of the infected came in contact with those previously found infected. According to the bulletin, Bangalore city has the highest number of 107 new cases. Besides, 53 cases have been reported in Bellary, 22 in Bidar, 21 in Mysuru, 16 in Vijayapura, 13 in Yadgir, 11 in Udupi, 9 in Gadak, 8-8 in Dakshina Kannada and Kolar and 7 in Hassan.

1232 CASES REPORTED SO FAR IN KALBURGI 

At the same time, 6 in Kalaburgi, 5-5 in Chikballapur and Shimoga, 4-4 in Dharwad-Tumkur-Koppal and Chamarajanagar, 3-3 in Raichur and Uttara Kannada, 2-2 in Mandya-Belagavi-Devnagre-Haveri and one case is reported in Kodagu. Bengaluru tops the state in terms of total infected, 1,505 cases have been reported here so far. There were 1,232 cases in Kalaburgi and 1,088 in Udupi, whereas Udupi is at the top in terms of patients recovering, where 969 patients are now infection free. In Kalburgi and Yadgir, 779 and 567 infected have been cured respectively. According to the Health Department, 5,26,538 samples have been tested in the state so far, of which 10,569 samples were tested on Tuesday.
