In the political crisis of Rajasthan, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's side is looking heavy. In the Congress Legislature Party meeting, the legislators considered Ashok Gehlot as their leader and demanded action against Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot. After this, Sachin Pilot and his two close ministers are dismissed from the Rajasthan cabinet. With the dismissal of Sachin Pilot from the cabinet, the post of Congress state president has also been removed. In his place, Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara has been made the state president now. Apart from Sachin Pilot, Vishvendra Singh and Ramesh Meena have been dismissed from the cabinet.
Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala announced the removal of Sachin Pilot from the post of state president as well as minister. Surjewal said that along with the pilot, Vishvendra Singh and Ramesh Meena are also being removed from the post of ministers. Surjewala said that Congress MLAs were demanding action against Pilot.
Surjewala accused the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of hatching a conspiracy using money power to destabilize the majority government. He said that some other Congress MLAs also got involved in this trap of BJP with Sachin Pilot. Camping in Jaipur for two days, the Congress spokesperson said that we had told Sachin Pilot with an open heart that you come back. We will solve all problems together.
Sachin Pilot is an MLA from Tonk assembly constituency, despite being the president of Rajasthan State Congress, who raised the flag of revolt against his own government. At the same time, Vishvendra Singh, who was the Minister for Tourism and Devasthan, represents the Digh Kumher seat in the Assembly. Vishvendra Singh, who was also in the BJP at times, is counted among Ashok Gehlot's opposing leaders. Apart from these, Ramesh Meena, who was removed from Gehlot cabinet, was the Minister of Food and Civil Supplies Department. Ramesh Meena is a three-time MLA from Sapotra constituency.
In the midst of the ongoing power struggle in Rajasthan, on 13 July, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi took the front. Priyanka Gandhi talked to both Sachin Pilot and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, and tried to end this crisis. However, Priyanka Gandhi also failed to get reconciliation. Sachin Pilot's camp remained firm on the demand for change of leadership.
Let us tell you that at the time of Rajasthan assembly elections, Sachin Pilot was the President of Rajasthan Congress. Pilot led the party's campaign from the front. The Congress had defeated the BJP under the leadership of Pilot. Sachin Pilot's aggressive electoral strategy and his leadership were praised in the Congress victory.
