The total number of infected people increased to 1,71,949 after 2,256 new cases of infected with the coronavirus were reported in Mumbai on Monday. At the same time 31 more people died due to the dangerous virus. Total deaths in the city increased to 8,178
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) stated in a regular report that the number of people being treated for infection in the city has increased to 31,063. The BMC said that after the death of 31 more patients, the number of deaths from Covid-19 in the city increased to 8,178.
1,431 people have recovered in the last 24 hours
However, for the last three days more than 40 people were dying here. On Monday the number stood at 31. The Municipal Corporation said that 1,431 people have recovered in the last 24 hours. After this the number of people who have become infection free has increased to 1,32,349. According to BMC, the rate of recovery in Mumbai is 77 percent.

According to the Union Health Ministry, till Tuesday morning, the total number of active cases of coronavirus has been recorded 9,90,061. In the last 24 hours i.e. from 8 am Monday to 8 am Tuesday. A total of 83,809 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country. The total number of coronavirus cases in the country has now risen to 49,30,236.
Everyday more than 1000 people across the country are losing their lives
Not only the active cases of corona are increasing in the country, but the number of deaths due to its infection are also increasing rapidly. According to Health Ministry data, 1054 people lost their lives due to corona in 24 hours. Coronavirus has so far caused 80,776 deaths in the country.
