21 Kilometres Ropeway is Constructed in Himachal for Tourist

Himachal Pradesh is one of the most preferred tourist destinations of tourists. Himachal is very fond of tourists who are fond of adventure. Now the tourists will also be able to enjoy the 21.4 km long ropeway in Himachal Pradesh. Recently, the Central Ministry of Tribal Affairs has approved Rs 600 crore for this ropeway. On completion of this project, the Pangi area of Himachal will be connected with the rest of the country throughout the year.

Under this project, a ropeway is to be constructed between Banotu to Pregara towards Killar, named as Rajju Marg Project. The central government has also given an additional amount of Rs 50 lakh to the state for this year. Chief Minister Jairam Thakur said that the state government sent the project to the Center in September this year for approval. It is to be constructed in five stages. It has a total length of 21.4 km and will be a challenge for the Himachal Pradesh Rapid Transport System. It will be built at a height of 14 thousand feet on the sach pass.

On completion, this project will be an example for the rest of the states in maintaining connectivity throughout the year from the most difficult and snow-covered areas of the country. Pangi is a very inaccessible area located in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, which remains cut off from the rest of the country for about eight months. Due to snowfall, the movement of vehicles to Pangi is completely stopped, due to which about 16 thousand people living here are unable to go anywhere from this area.
