Coronavirus infection is spreading in the country at the same pace on which the people are now recovering. According to the latest data of the Union Health Ministry, in the last 24 hours i.e. from 8 am on Thursday till 8 am on Friday, almost all the cases of coronavirus reported across the country have been cured. According to the data, 20943 new cases have been registered in the country within 24 hours and now the total cases of coronavirus have increased to 625544 across the country.
However, within the last 24 hours, 20,032 people completely recovered from the coronavirus and now the number of people who have been cured after defeating the coronavirus in the country has increased to 397891, while the recovery rate of coronavirus in the country has also come above 60 percent.
But the number of people who are losing their lives due to coronavirus is also increasing continuously. During the last 24 hours, 397 people have died due to coronavirus in the country and a total of 18213 people have lost their lives due to this virus so far. The highest number of deaths in the country due to coronavirus has been in Maharashtra, Delhi, and Gujarat. In Maharashtra, the virus has killed 8178 people, while in Delhi 2865 people lost their lives and in Gujarat, 1886 people died. There are 227439 active cases of coronavirus across the country.
There's continuous testing going on in the country for the identification of coronavirus patients. On Thursday, more than 2.41 lakh tests have been conducted across the country and the total coronavirus testing in the country has now increased to 92.97 lakhs. After the United States, Russia, and Britain, the highest number of coronavirus tests are being conducted in India.
Speaking of coronavirus cases globally, the total number of cases worldwide has crossed 1.09 crore mark, so far more than 5.24 lakh people have died due to coronavirus worldwide. However, more than 61.40 lakh coronavirus patients have been cured all over the world. The highest number of cases of coronavirus in the world is in the United States, where more than 28.37 lakh cases have been reported and more than 1.31 lakh people have died, followed by more than 15.01 lakh cases in Brazil and 61 thousand deaths. In Russia too, 6.61 lakh cases have been reported so far.
