Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and actor Shatrughan Sinha will contest the Congress ticket from Patna Sahib seat this time. Shatrughan Sinha's election from Patna Sahib seat has almost been decided. Shatrughan Sinha has been criticizing the policies of the Modi government for a long time. It was believed that the BJP could cut its ticket this time. This time the BJP has decided to contest the election from Patna Sahib seat to Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
On speculation on getting tickets from the BJP, Shatrughan Sinha said that whatever happens, he will contest elections from Patna Sahib. Meanwhile, his distance from the BJP was becoming more frequent. Sources said that Shatrughan Sinha met Lalu Yadav, Rashtriya Yadava and Rabri Devi in the past and they were discussing to make him the candidate of Maha coalition but in the end, he was offered the choice of a ticket for RJD or Congress. Sinha on this decision decided to contest the Congress ticket.
